For general Medicaid, there is no qualifying age. Medicaid eligibility is based on income and asset limits. However, certain Medicaid waiver programs that can help cover the cost of long-term care are available to eligible seniors 65 and older.

General Medicaid does not cover the cost of long-term care for seniors. However, Medicaid waiver programs, like the COPES waiver in Washington state, are available to qualifying seniors 65 and older. This waiver program can help pay for assisted living or in-home care.
